Charlotte J. Ethell

Charlotte Ethell, 82, arrived in heaven Wednesday, April 16, 2025. She is now walking in the garden with her Lord and Savior. She has no worries or cares and is at peace with God.

She was born in Ballville Township to Herman H. and Bessie Mae (Johnson) Bixler. She married Charles R. Emmons on September 27, 1960, and they later divorced. On February 25, 1979, she married Robert Ethell, and he preceded her in death January 6, 2000.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary E. Emmons; daughter, Cheri Lynne Brooks; brothers, George H. Bixler, Paul H. Bixler, Nelson F. Bixler, and Ralph Bixler; sisters, Betty L. Lance, Robert Davis and Della Burrows; and grandchildren, Kevin Brooks, Travis Puckett and Vera Jo Regel.

She is survived by her daughters, Lori Christerpher and Tabatha Puckett; son, Richard C. Barshare; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Charlotte was a member of Tiffin Church of the Nazarene. She was a nurse's aide in Florida and Ohio, a waitress in restaurants all over, worked in factories, and volunteered at the Sharing Kitchen at St. Paul's Church. She loved dogs.

Charlotte would like to thank all her caregivers, friends, doctors, and nurses who helped take care of her over the years. "May God be with all of you and believe."

Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Tiffin Church of the Nazarene, 777 Old Attica Road, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, with the Rev. Lois Moranville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Seneca County or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
