Charles Keels Obituary
Charles E. Keels, of Columbus, peacefully ended his journey on earth Monday, April 29, 2025. He was born in Gallia County September 4, 1935, to the late Everett and Naomi (Harris) Keels. He married Ruth (Michaels) Keels on July 22, 1961, and she survives. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents, siblings, and close relatives, Dottie, Christine, Bill, Gene, Alice, Rod, John, Cash, Ruby, Rachel, and Phillip, along with other relatives and close friends.
Charles is survived by his six children, Chris (Candy), Tony (Erin), Gina, Chuck, Renee, and Lonny (Mike); grandchildren, Nicolas (Chelsea), Marisa (Jake), Alexa (Andy), Kayla, Anya, Angelina, Chucky, and Daunte; great-grandchildren, Ophelia, Pearl, and Thea. He loved his family and took great pride in their many accomplishments over the years.
Charles is a veteran who served in the US Army and loved to share stories of his time in Germany. He always maintained friendships with his core group of Army buddies. He lived and worked in Fostoria most of his adult life. He and his wife, Ruth, moved to Jackson, Ohio, upon retiring, and eventually moved to Columbus to be closer to family.
