Charleen Marie Pahl

Charleen Marie Pahl, 90, was called home by our Lord late Saturday evening, March 18, 2023. She passed away peacefully at ProMedica Fostoria Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born May 26, 1932, in Tiffin, to the late Gilbert and Gertrude (Scharf) Marks. She married William B. Pahl on June 7, 1952, and he preceded her in death Aug. 14, 1992.

Charleen is survived by a daughter, Lou Ann (Eric) Wentz of Fostoria; sons, William V. (Julie) Pahl and Charles W. (Nancy) Pahl, both of Fostoria; daughter-in-law, Karen (Dennis) Below of Powell; sister, Rosemary (the late Richard) Koziarski of Toledo; grandchildren, Erica (Wentz) Gurney of Findlay, Shaun Wentz of Manassas Park, Virginia, Stephanie (Pahl) McKinnon of Powell, Matthew Pahl of Fostoria, Andrea (Pahl) Young of Tiffin, William J. Pahl of Fostoria, Christopher Jacquot of Woodville, Kyle Pahl of Findlay, and Joshua Pahl of Fostoria; 19 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Megan and Ethan Gurney, Keller and Kenzie Wentz, Caiden and Noah McKinnon, Jarred and Takota Pahl, Paige, Payne, and Alysen Young, Gavin, Mila, and Lillian Pahl, Everett and Maisie Jacquot, and Jaela and Josiah Pahl; and great-great-granddaughter, Memphis Pahl.

She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen; sister, Mary Jo (Marks); husband, James Lotte; mother and father-in-law, Margaret (Parker) and Vernon Pahl; sister-in-law, Janet (Pahl) Willman; and in-laws, Margaret (Hobschaidt) and James Pahl and Kay (Heuther) and Edward Pahl.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Hoening & Son Funeral Home, 133 W. Tiffin St, Fostoria, where a Vigil will be at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2023, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Wendelin Cemetery.
