Casimiro Anez Obituary
Casimiro "Cas" Anez Jr., 72, of Fostoria, passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
He was born Dec. 27, 1950, in Harlingen, Texas, to Casimiro and Martina (Ontiveroz) Anez Sr. He married Jennifer "Jen" Hartley on July 7, 1990, in Fostoria.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer "Jen" Anez of Fostoria; sons Cas Anez III of Upper Sandusky and David Hartley of Fostoria; sisters, Maria (Jose) Martinez, Lolie Anez, and Angie (Rick) Schluchter, all of Fostoria; brother, Ricardo (Manianela) Anez of Gastonia, North Carolina; grandchildren, Seth, Paige, Erin, Tyler, Maya, and Ella; and six great-grandchildren.
Cas was preceded in death by his parents.
Cas retired as a Media Tech. Specialist at General Dynamics, Lima. He graduated from high school in Texas and was a member of the Moose Lodge & was an OHSAA umpire, umpiring all age groups and mostly fast-pitch softball. He was the New Reigel high school bowling coach. Cas loved to bowl, golf, and play softball. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys, Michigan, and Detroit Tigers fan.
Cas' funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Ron Merritt officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
