Carrie Lynn Steele

Carrie Steele, 52, beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, peacefully passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at home.

Carrie was born in Fostoria to Charles and Kathleen Steele of Fostoria. Carrie was the oldest of three siblings including her brother, Aaron Steele, Velisa McSwain of Tiffin, and sister, Amy Steele of Fostoria. She lived her life being a devoted mother to children, Cierra Norman, Aaliyah Johnson, and Darius Johnson, and granddaughter, Indica Johnson.

She is survived by her parents; siblings; three children, Cierra Norman, Aaliyah Johnson, and Darius Johnson; granddaughter, Indica Johnson; life partner, James Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kelly Norman Jr.

She was an amazing cook and bartended in her early 30s at The Smokehouse for a number of years. Carrie loved to dance to Stevie Nicks and Prince, always creating the best memories for all that knew her. She could light up a room with her humor and loving personality and always made sure everyone was taken care of. No matter who they were, if they needed help, she would be there. Carrie lived a life full of love. When obstacles presented themselves, she'd always push through and stay strong, paving a path for her family and friends to follow in. She will be forever missed by so many.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria.
