Carolyn (Hutchins) Webb

With a heavy heart, we are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Carolyn (Hutchins) Webb, 76, of Bowling Green, who passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 6, 1947, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, to Robert and Ila Hutchins. Carolyn grew up in Fostoria as the oldest of three children. She attended Fostoria High School, graduating in 1965, and graduated from Maumee Valley Hospital of Nursing in 1968. She continued her education at Bowling Green State University, receiving a BS in Nursing and Master's Degree in Counseling.

Carolyn worked as a nurse in various hospitals throughout Michigan and Ohio. It was in 1973 that she began teaching at Bowling Green LPN School. She spent the rest of her career as a nurse educator in both the classroom and clinical setting, finishing at Owens Community College, Findlay. Carolyn enjoyed camping and traveling, including summer vacations spent at their cottages in Canada and Michigan. Carolyn loved being involved with friends and family. She loved spending time with and supporting her grandchildren at all of their activities. She was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing and boating, gardening, sewing, and bird watching.

I am so saddened by seeing that this lovely woman has passed. I was a student of hers at the BG school of LPN. She nutured and encouraged me a long my path to nursing, encouraging me to go further in my career. I ran into her a few times in BG but lost touch. I wish I could have told her how her words of encouragement and support made me what i am today. She was an awesome individual, excellent Nurse. She will forever be in my thoughts and heart.

I am saddened to hear of Carolyn´s passing. She was part of a sisterhood of nurses graduating in 1968 from Maiumee Valley School of Nursing.
Upon graduating, Carolyn was one of 3 nurses that headed to Royal Oak, Michigan to begin our nursing careers. She was a supportive friend and roommate with a great sense of humor. I have fond memories of our nursing school days and the excitement of our first job together.
Heaven gained a passionate , caring angel. Fly high my friend,
