Carol J. Moore

Carol J. Moore, 89, of Alvada and formerly of Arcadia, passed away at 7:14 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, at Independence House, Fostoria.

She was born July 25, 1933, in Hancock County, to the late Beryl and Margaret (Bushong) Breyman. She married Benjamin Pelphrey and they divorced. She later married Dennis Moore on Nov. 5, 1983, and he preceded her in death April 9, 2021.

Carol is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Rui) Pelphrey of Fostoria; daughter, Rita (Ron) Mills of Tiffin; stepson, Jeffery Moore of Michigan; stepdaughter, Kellie Blattner of Maumee; sister, Sandra (Steven) Haaser of Fostoria; granddaughters, Katlyn (Darin) Cole and Sarah (Isaiah) Romero; and five great-grandchildren.

Carol was a homemaker and retired as administrative assistant for several different doctors, the last being Dr. Beck. She was a member of Enon Valley Presbyterian Church, where she was an Elder. Carol enjoyed dealing with primitive antiques for many years and was an avid gardener.

Carol's funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Burial will be at Arcadia Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the funeral home.
