Darl Kretsinger Obituary

Darl E. Kretsinger

Darl E. Kretsinger, 76, of Melmore, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at VA Ann Arbor Health Care.

He was born Nov. 12, 1947, in Seneca County, to Kenneth and Doris (Altman) Kretsinger. He married Connie Hushour on April 3, 1971.

Darl's survivors include his wife, Connie Kretsinger of Melmore; son, Donald Kretsinger of Melmore; brother, Bob Kretsinger of Kentucky; sisters, Judy Perrin of Bucyrus and Karen Bryant of Tiffin; and four grandchildren, Katie, Cameron, Raymond, and Erik.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Darl was a 1965 graduate of Republic High School and attended Terra Community College and earned a degree in Quality Control. He served in U.S. Navy from Aug. 10, 1965 to Nov. 8, 1968. He retired as a truck driver from Bryan Truck Lines, was a life member of Tiffin AmVets Post 48, and member of National Model Railroad Association, Ohio Mopar Club, and Lake Erie Southern Model Railroad Club. Darl enjoyed model railroading, traveling, and fishing in Wyoming with his best friend, Steve.

Darl's graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Rock Creek Cemetery with military honors being conducted by United Veterans Council.

Memorial contributions may be made to a local veteran's group or Habitat for Humanity.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting family.
