Brenda M. Niswander

Brenda Mavis Niswander, 83, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Good Samaritan Village in Kissimmee, Florida.

She was born Dec. 29, 1940, in Cadwell, Georgia, to Clayton and Mable Stevens. She moved to Fostoria at an early age, where she met Irvin (Bud) Niswander. They married in Aug., 1957, and raised six children. While living in Fostoria, Brenda was an avid bowler. She could often be found during the week at either Seneca or Dunn's Lanes. Brenda also enjoyed playing bingo at many different venues in town. She and Bud moved to Kissimmee after he retired in 2000. Brenda was very active in village activities and was recognized as the village's "Volunteer of the Year" in 2014. Brenda was a very caring and helpful person. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone in the Kissimmee area whose lives she touched.

Brenda is survived by her children, Steve, Kevin, Phillip (Buddy), Pam, and Kelly; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and daughter, Lynn.

A memorial service is planned for July 12 in Kissimmee.
