Alice Channels Obituary
Alice Lou "Sal" (King) Channels, 92, of Bettsville, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at ProMedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont.
Sal was born May 28, 1931, in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, to William D. and Faye B. (Barringer) King. She married Willis Marion Channels on Sept. 23, 1949, in Bettsville, and he preceded her in death Sept. 4, 2007.
Sal's survivors include two sons, Steven (Terry) Channels of Findlay and Mark Evan Channels of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Christopher (Trish) Channels, William M. Channels, Amy (Chance) Taylor, Cara (Scott) Hubbell, and Matt (Ashley) Channels; and seven great-grandchildren.
Sal was a homemaker and member of Zion United Church of Christ and Nature Trails Golf Course for 58 years where she was the club champion for nine consecutive years. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary and 1949 Bettsville High School graduate.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, H. Eugene King and Wallace R. King; and daughter-in-law, Sherilyn D. Channels.
Sal's funeral will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home, Bettsville, with Pastor Nancy Smith officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services Wednesday at Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bettsville American Legion.

Awe so sad to hear! We had many a good times on the golf course. I´m sure she was happy to be reunited with her Bunker! My sympathies to all! She was a treasure
