Gerald Higginbotham Obituary

Gerald "Gerry" Andrew Higginbotham, also known affectionately as "Higgy," passed away at the age of 77 on October 30, 2025, in St Pete Beach, FL. Born on July 18, 1948, Gerry dedicated six years to serving his country in the United States Air Force, from March 1968 until March 1974.

Following his military service, Gerry ventured into entrepreneurship, becoming the owner/operator of multiple businesses including Auto Services Unlimited and East Wash. His businesses were well-regarded in the community, reflecting his commitment to service and excellence.

Gerry leaves behind a loving family: his daughter Lynne Choate, her husband Jesse, and their son, his only grandson, Garrett; his son Jerry Higginbotham; his sister Linda Rittenhouse and her husband Gene; his brother John Higginbotham; his best friend, Tommy Rowland, and Tommy's wife Linda.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Bohannon Higginbotham and Gerald Higginbotham, and his son Andrew Taylor Higginbotham.

A celebration of life will be held in Florida on Thursday, November 13, at 1 PM at the Swigwam on Corey Ave in St Pete Beach. A burial will take place in Massachusetts on Saturday, December 13, at The Shepardville Cemetery in Plainville, with a celebration to follow immediately at the Falls AC 8 Stack Rd, Attleborough Falls.
