He was born in Adamstown, son of the late Martin and Nora (Keffer) Althouse and was the husband of the late Mary (Schannauer) Althouse, who passed away in 2017. They shared 70 plus years of marriage.
Earl is survived by 4 children, John Althouse, husband of Betsy, Ruth Malone, wife of Joseph, Harry Althouse, and Jane Kohl, wife of Dennis; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Kring.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 6 siblings.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, 10:00 AM at the Allegheny Union Church Cemetery, Mohnton.
