Sammy Badalucco, 72, of Kansas City, passed away on August 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Sammy was the beloved son of Anthony and Carmela (Daleo) Badalucco, who preceded him in death. Their love was foundational in creating his strong family values.
He was born on January 28,1953, in the Northeast area of Kansas City. At the age of seven, the family moved to the Briarcliff neighborhood in the Northland, where he resided for the rest of his life. He graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1971. It was there he met the love of his life, Karen Buss. On August 22, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary — a milestone reached just days before his passing.
Family was not just important to Sammy — it was everything. His proudest titles were husband, father, and Papa. He and his son Michael shared a rare and remarkable bond — not only father and son, but true best friends. They were inseparable, whether golfing together, sharing long conversations, or simply enjoying each other’s company. When Michael and his wife Lindsay blessed him with grandsons, Sammy Vincent and Joseph Andrew, his world grew even brighter. He made sure to visit with or see his grandchildren every single day.
Sammy was a master salesman and entrepreneur. A self-made businessman, he founded Allied Office Solutions in 1985, which grew into a thriving company before he sold it to Toshiba Corporation in 2005. His career was marked not only by success, but also by generosity; through his work he supported numerous organizations that served those in need.
He was an avid sports fan, fiercely loyal to the Missouri Tigers and Kansas City Chiefs, and loved golfing at Staley Farms with his son, brothers, and friends. Sammy shared a special tie with his sister, Diane, calling her often to laugh, chat, and share even the smallest moments of his day. He cherished the many friendships he built throughout his life, from weekly lunches with his high school buddies to his early days playing third base in the Italian League.
Sammy was larger than life — passionate, witty, and generous to his core. He had a knack for storytelling, often exaggerating just enough to make every tale more entertaining. He was unapologetic in the way he lived, always true to himself and never afraid to stand out.
Sammy leaves behind his devoted wife, Karen Badalucco; son, Michael Badalucco, and daughter-in-law, Lindsay Badalucco; treasured grandsons, Sammy Vincent and Joseph Andrew; siblings Pete (Mary) Badalucco, Diane (Sam) Mussorici, and Mark (Lisa) Badalucco; sister and brother-in-law Cynthia and Rick Biermann; and many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Sammy.
To know Sammy was to love him. People often say he was one of a kind. His family and friends will miss him dearly, but they will carry his stories and his laughter in their hearts forever.
Visitation will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Highway 9, Kansas City, Missouri 64152, on Friday, September 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 p.m., with burial at Resurrection Cemetery, 5001 NE Cookingham Dr, Kansas City, Missouri 64156.
Honorary Pallbearers: Pete Badalucco, Mark Badalucco, Pat Beeman, Joe Belgiere, Rick Biermann, Ben Cuda, Norm Guettermann, Ron Jackson, Sam Mussorici, Anthony Simone, Andy Smith, John Strada, Kirk Weber.

Sam, I can't believe you're gone. Just looking at your picture reminds me of so many good times we had working together at DeCoursey Business Systems in 1984-85. We had a lot of fun, made many memories, golfed together at Royal Meadows Golf Club, and one time we drove up to North Kansas City so you could show me God's Country! I thought about calling you many times over the last couple of years and never did. I wish I had now. I hope your at Peace with Lord in Heaven and look forward to seeing you again someday. Your friend, Bill Meador

to Pete, Marc and Diane so sorry to hear about the passing of your brother Sam. He was always a joy to talk to always had a smile on his face and you wondered what he was gonna say next that’s the mark of a memorable person. He certainly was one of those. I’m sure he’s with his mom and dad now in paradise. I just hope they let him play nine holes at least once a week. You are all in our prayers in our thoughts and our hearts going forward. God bless and Godspeed.
