Leslie Acheson Obituary

Leslie Jean Acheson, age 55, passed away on October 15, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Born in New York City and raised in Morristown, New Jersey, Leslie brought her intelligence, liveliness, and sense of humor to everything she did. Over the course of her career, she contributed her talents to several companies, including AT&T Credit, Global Crossing, Accenture, and most recently, Southeastern Heating & Air in Wilmington.

Leslie loved movies and possessed an amazing encyclopedic knowledge of movie trivia. She also enjoyed reading, especially science fiction, and made beautiful jewelry that friends and family were always happy to receive. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, as evidenced by her extensive Spooky Town Village collection. She had a lifelong love of animals, and she especially cherished her beloved cat, Jack-Jack.

Above all, Leslie enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved her daughter, Gillian Elise Covillo, and her grandson, Ares Acheson Walker, with all her heart. She is also survived by her loving parents, Oliver and Sue Acheson; her sister, Gillian Acheson; brother-in-law, Timothy Sullivan; and her aunt, Jean Acheson.

Leslie will be remembered for her wit, warmth, and loyalty to those closest to her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In celebrating Leslie's life the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Andrews Mortuary Market Chapel
